FORMULASI SEDIAAN BODY LOTION DARI EKSTRAK KULIT JERUK MANIS (Citrus nobilis var. microcarpa)

Abstract

Telah dilakukan penelitian dengan judul formulasi sediaan body lotion dari kulit jeruk manis (Citrus nobilis var. microcarpa). Lotion merupakan sediaan kosmetika golongan emolien (pelembut) untuk mempertahankan kelembaban kulit, membersihkan, mencegah kehilangan air atau mempertahankan bahan aktif. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui parameter fisik sediaan lotion kulit jeruk manis seperti uji organoleptis, uji pH, uji homogenitas, uji tipe lotion, uji daya sebar, uji daya proteksi, dan uji viskositas dengan berbagai konsentrasi ekstrak kulit jeruk manis 1% 3% dan 5%. Hasil uji Body Lotion kulit jeruk manis menunjukkan warna coklat, khas jeruk manis, dan tekstur agak kental. Uji homogenitas menunjukkan semua formulasi homogen tercampur rata. Uji pH menunjukkan semua formulasi memenuhi syarat pH yaitu 4,5-8. Uji tipe lotion didapatkan hasil tipe minyak dalam air (M/A). Uji daya sebar menunjukkan kemempuan penyebaran lotion memenuhi syarat daya sebar yaitu 5-7 cm. Uji daya proteksi lotion didapatkan hasil bahwa lotion memiliki kemampuan proteksi. Uji viskositas menunjukkan hasil memenuhi syarat viskositas 2.000-50.000 cPs. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kulit jeruk manis (Citrus nobilis var. microcarpa) dapat diformulasikan sebagai sediaan body lotion dengan hasil evaluasi fisik yang memenuhi persyaratan pada ketiga formulasi.

Abstract (English)

Research has been conducted with the title Formulation of Body Lotion Preparations from (Citrus nobilis var. microcarpa). The lotion is a cosmetic preparation of the emollient group (softener) to retain skin moisture, cleanse, prevent water loss, or retain active ingredients. This study aims to determine the physical parameters of sweet orange peel body lotion preparations such as organoleptic test, pH test, homogeneity test, body lotion type test, dispersion test, protection power test, and viscosity test with various concentrations of sweet orange peel extract 1% 3% and 5%. The results of the sweet orange peel Body Lotion test show a brown color, typical of sweet orange, and a slightly thick texture. The homogeneity test shows all homogeneous formulation are thoroughly mixed. The pH test shows that all formulations meet the pH requirement of 4.5-8. The body lotion type test obtained oil in water (M/A) type results. The dispersion test shows that the ability of the lotion to spread meets the spreadability requirements of 5-7 cm. The lotion protection test found that the body lotion has a protective ability. The viscosity test shows results that meet the viscosity requirements of 2,000-50,000 cPs. The results showed that sweet orange peel (Citrus nobilis var. microcarpa) can be formulated as a body lotion preparation with physical evaluation results that meet the requirements in all three formulations.
