Abstract

Akar bajakah (Spatholobus Littoralis Hassk) memiliki kandungan senyawa alkaloid, saponin, flavonoid, tanin dan terpenoid bisa sebagai antioksidan dan antibakteri. Tujuan penelitian ini formulasi gel gigi (tooth gel) ekstrak etanol akar bajakah (spatholobus littoralis hassk). Sediaan dibuat 3 formulasi dengan masingmasing formulasi dibuat 3 replikasi dengan konsentrasi Na CMC F1 3%, F2 4%, F3 5%. selanjutnya dilakukan evaluasi fisik meliputi uji organoleptis, pH, daya sebar, tinggi busa, homogenitas dan viskositas. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian formulasi gel gigi (tooth gel) dari ekstrak etanol akar bajakah yaitu, gel gigi (tooth gel) hasil berwarna coklat muda, tekstur semisolid, bau khas mint, homogen, nilai pH dengan pH meter 8,16-8,76, pada pH indikator 8, memiliki daya sebar 3,62 cm, 3,40 cm, 3,12 cm, tinggi busa sebesar 1,23 cm, 1,18 cm, 1,29 cm dan viskositas sebesar 290 dPas, 476 dPas, 566 dPas.

Abstract (English)

Bajakah root (Spatholobus Littoralis Hassk) contains alkaloid, saponin, flavonoid, tannin and terpenoid compounds that can act as antioxidants and antibacterials. The purpose of this study is the formulation of tooth gel ethanol extract of bajakah root (spatholobus littoralis hassk). Preparations were made 3 formulations with each formulation made 3 replications with a concentration of Na CMC F1 3%, F2 4%, F3 5%. then physical evaluation was carried out including organoleptical tests, pH, spreadability, foam height, homogeneity and viscosity. Based on the results of the research on tooth gel formulation from ethanol extract of bajakah root, namely, tooth gel results in light brown color, semisolid texture, distinctive mint odor, homogeneous, pH value with pH meter 8.16-8.76, at pH indicator 8, has a spreadability of 3.62 cm, 3.40 cm, 3.12 cm, foam height of 1.23 cm, 1.18 cm, 1.29 cm and viscosity of 290 dPas, 476 dPas, 566 dPas.
