UJI HEDONIK PASTA GIGI EKSTRAK AKAR BAJAKAH (Spatholobus littoralis hassk)

Abstract

Pasta gigi merupakan sedian yang digunakan untuk sikat gigi dengan tujuan membersihkan permukaan gigi yang sulit dijangkau. Pasta gigi mengandung bahan aktif maupun aditif yang memiliki fungsi tertentu. uji hedonik dari sediaan pasta gigi ekstrak akar bajakah (Spatholobus littoralis hassk) dengan penilaian aroma, warna, dan bentuk/tekstur. Berdasarkan hasil uji hedonik tekstur sediaan pasta gigi di dapatkan hasil rata-rata pada F1 4,65,; F2 4,75., dan F3 4,6 dengan respon panelis berjumlah 20 orang. Nilai rata-rata tingkat kesukaan panelis terhadap uji aroma yang paling disukai panelis adalah F2 yaitu 4,75 sedangkan sediaan pasta gigi ekstrak akar bajakah yang memiliki tingkat terendah adalah F3 yaitu 4,6. Dari hasil uji hedonik yang meliputi warna, tekstur, dan aroma didapatkan hasil yang paling disukai adalah pada uji warna dan pada uji tekstur yaitu F1, dan pada uji aroma yaitu F2. Pada hasil tersebut diketahui bahwa warna cokelat muda yang dimiliki oleh sediaan pasta gigi ekstrak akar bajakah dapat mempengaruhi tingkat kesukaan panelis. Kemudian dari uji tekstur diketahui pada F3 yang paling sedikit diminati oleh panelis karena memiliki tekstur yang kurang menarik dan pada uji aroma merupakan sediaan yang paling disukai oleh panelis dikarenakan memiliki aroma seperti mint. Berdasarkan penelitian yang telah dilakukan dapat disimpulkan bahwa : Uji hedonik atau tingkat kesukaan panelis terhadap pasta gigi ekstrak akar bajakah ini dapat diketahui bahwa untuk parameter warna panelis lebih menyukai F1 dengan nilai 4,55, untuk parameter tekstur panelis lebih menyukai F1 dengan nilai 4,6 dan untuk parameter aroma panelis lebih menyukai F2 dengan nilai 4,75.

Abstract (English)

Toothpaste is a preparation used for toothbrushes with the aim of cleaning hardto-reach tooth surfaces. Toothpaste contains active ingredients and additives that have certain functions. This research is a non-experimental research, namely with a descriptive approach using a hedonic test (liking test) on a preparation of bajakah root extract toothpaste (Spatholobus littoralis hassk). This research was carried out by assessing the preparation for hedonic testing of the bajakah root extract (Spatholobus littoralis hassk) toothpaste preparation by assessing the aroma, color and shape/texture. Based on the results of the hedonic test for the texture of toothpaste preparations, the average results were F1 4.65, F2 4.75, and F3 4.6 with a response of 20 panelists. The average value of the panelists' preference level for the aroma test that the panelists liked most was F2, namely 4.75, while the bajakah root extract toothpaste preparation that had the lowest level was F3, namely 4.6. From the results of the hedonic test which includes color, texture and aroma, it was found that the most favorable results were in the color test and in the texture test, namely F1, and in the aroma test, namely F2. From these results, it is known that the light brown color of the bajakah root extract toothpaste preparation can influence the panelists' level of preference. Then from the texture test it was discovered that F3 was the least popular with the panelists because it had a less attractive texture and in the aroma test it was the preparation most liked by the panelists because it had a mint-like aroma. Based on the research that has been carried out, it can be concluded that: Hedonic test or panelists' level of preference for Bajakah root extract toothpaste can be seen that for color parameters panelists prefer F1 with a value of 4.55, for texture parameters panelists prefer F1 with a value of 4.6 and for aroma parameters, panelists preferred F2 with a value of 4.75.
