UJI STABILITAS FISIK FORMULA LIP BALM EKSTRAK ETANOL KULIT BUAH TAMPOI (BACCAUREA MACROCARPA) DENGAN VARIASI KONSENTRASI TWEEN 80

Abstract

Buah tampoi merupakan buah hutan tropis yang pemanfaatannya hanya pada daging buah yang dikonsumsi. Pemanfaatan kulit buah Tampoi belum dilakukan secara maksimal. Ekstrak kulit buah tampoi mengandung senyawa metabolit sekunder seperti alkaloid, flavonoid, fenol, tannin dan saponin. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh variasi konsentrasi tween 80 pada sediaan lip balm ekstrak etanol kulit buah tampoi (Baccaurea macrocarpa) terhadap stabilitas fisiknya dan mengetahui konsentrasi lip balm ekstrak etanol kulit buah tampoi variasi tween 80 yang menghasilkan stabilitas fisik paling baik. Pembuatan sediaan lip balm dibuat dengan variasi konsentrasi tween 80 yaitu F1(2%), F2(3%), F3(4%). Evaluasi yang dilakukan terhadap stabilitas fisik sediaan menggunakan metode cyling test yang meliputi uji organoleptik, uji homogenitas, uji pH, uji daya sebar, uji titik leleh, dan uji daya oles. Hasil penelitian uji stabilitas menunjukkan bahwa sediaan lip balm memenuhi syarat evaluasi fisik yang baik pada uji organoleptis, uji homogenitas, uji pH, uji titik leleh dan uji daya oles, tetapi pada uji daya sebar formula 1 mengalami penurunan hasil daya sebar. Konsentrasi tween 80 yang menghasilkan lip balm dengan stabilitas fisik paling baik yaitu pada formula 2 dengan konsentrasi tween 80 3%.

Abstract (English)

Tampoi fruit is a tropical forest fruit whose utilization is only in the consumed pulp. Tampoi fruit skin utilization has not been done optimally. Tampoi fruit peel extract contains secondary metabolite compounds such as alkaloids, flavonoids, phenols, tannins and saponins. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of variations in the concentration of tween 80 on the preparation of lip balm ethanol extract of tampoi fruit peel (Baccaurea macrocarpa) on its physical stability and to determine the concentration of lip balm ethanol extract of tampoi fruit peel variation of tween 80 which produces the best physical stability. Lip balm preparations were made with variations in tween 80 concentration, namely F1 (2%), F2 (3%), F3 (4%). The evaluation carried out on the physical stability of the preparation using the cyling test method which includes organoleptic test, homogeneity test, pH test, spreadability test, melting point test, and spreadability test. The results of the stability test research showed that the lip balm preparation met the requirements of good physical evaluation in the organoleptic test, homogeneity test, pH test, melting point test and spreadability test, but in the spreadability test formula 1 experienced a decrease in the spreadability results. The concentration of tween 80 that produces lip balm with the best physical stability is formula 2 with a concentration of 3% tween 80.
